We have just returned from a trip to Las Vegas where the highlight of our trip was a tour of Red Rock Canyon. The lines of time can be seen everywhere in the park,
lines from the layering over time of sedimentary sandstone…
and lines caused by folding that occurred during dramatic uplifts…
as our Earth was forming and preparing itself to be our home.

We didn’t have to time to do that last visit…next time. Looks great!
It is certainly worth the trip!
Gorgeous pictures. I love your interpretation of this week’s photo challenge.
Thank you.
Beautiful pictures. Nature is truly amazing 🙂
Thank you
This looks much more interesting than the Las Vegas we tend to hear about in this country. Fascinating. Thanks.
I agree. We spent most of our time out in nature, and our hotel was in Las Vegas. We did spend one day seeing the city; the architecture is interesting and the food is great. We did not spend even one quarter in any casino. We walked into the casino, thought it seemed pretty silly to stick around if we could be outside instead! We enjoyed our trip and I will be writing a blog about our adventures after we visit our brand new grandson in Minnesota.
I like these sorts of lines.
