In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Monochromatic.”
When returning home from our recent trip, we stopped at our favorite bird sanctuary, Riverlands, in West Alton, Missouri, and took a long walk through the marshland. I stopped to look for monarchs in the milkweeds and found this little guy instead…monochromatic!

The frog looks really snug on the leaf. I love the textures and the green monochrome.

Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary is on the Missouri side of the bridge that connects Illinois and Missouri at Alton, ILL on US 67.
