This is the view from the porch swing on my front porch. We live one block from the high school and two blocks from one of our town’s elementary schools. We see a constant line of school buses each morning and each afternoon. There are also dozens of children who walk by our house on their way to and from school.

It has been a cold and rainy day here today. The bus in the picture is carrying children home after a day in which, I am sure, they did not get a lot of recess time outside. Seems like a perfect day for a good, hot bowl of soup! That is what we are having.

I love our front porch, I love the porch swing, and I love the view!
